This café is about belonging. You are welcome to come and share a meal with us and there is no hurry to leave. Stay, enjoy the music, maybe bring out your knitting.
The volunteers are mostly people with a disability who are working in a welcoming environment, doing tasks that match their abilities. This gives the volunteers confidence, links to a community and may possibly open the door to activities or employment elsewhere.
Please be patient and understanding! The service will be slow, people will make mistakes, food may be spilled and volunteers may not be able to communicate (*note thumb language tips below). To make the process as risk free as possible, order by ticking your preference on the menu provided.
There is a Contributions Box where you are welcome to contribute what you think the meal was worth. Payment is not compulsory, but it goes towards defraying the costs of purchasing food.
