If you are planning a concert or other event then consider All Saints' Ainslie. Our church building has a fascinating history. It was originally built in 1868 as a railway station for the Rookwood Cemetery in NSW, but was relocated to Canberra in the 1950s, making it one of the oldest buildings in our city. We have a beautiful Yamaha C7 grand piano, purchased in 2012, which can be used for concerts. Please contact the Parish Office for further information about concerts and hiring rates.
The Large Hall is a multipurpose room suitable for parties, workshops and rehearsals. The Small Hall will comfortably accommodate up to 30 people, depending on room configuration. There is also an adjoining kitchen with modern facilities available for use. We have competitive rates - please contact the Parish Office for further information.
The Church and halls have full access. A ramp on the left interior side of the church makes movement to the communion rails accessible. Toilets are accessible.
Hearing loops are fitted throughout the church and halls. Activate the T-switch on your hearing aide. Please ask for assistance if necessary as we have parishioners with expertise in hearing impairment.
Large print copies of the service booklet are available from the sidespeople. Light coloured floor tiles have a path indicated by a line of dark tiles on each side. Sidespeople stand at the side of the chancel to assist during communion. Please ask for assistance as required.
All activities are fully inclusive of people, especially children, with disabilities. Children’s church (9.30am each Sunday during school terms) welcomes all children, including those with disabilities.
It is our intention to make our parish community fully accessible to all. Please let us know if you find a problem or can help us improve access for others.
