Children & Youth at All Saints

Children in Church

All Saints' welcomes children to its worship and community life. We are committed to love, nurture, protect and treasure every child and young person as a gift from God.

In order to provide ministry to younger children, All Saints' provides a bag of activities for each child to use in their seats during the 9.30am Holy Communion service every Sunday during school term time.  The activities relate to the theme of the day.  In addition there is sometimes a short children's address during the service (just before the Greeting of Peace) when the children are encouraged to go and sit up the front of the church.  The children are therefore part of the weekly worship as well as being present for the sacrament of Holy Communion.  During Mass you will find a rug and cushions in the side aisle, with books and toys for children to use at any time.  The sidespeople at the door will direct you to this area if you ask.

Children's Church activities are co-ordinated by the rector with the help of parishioners.  All Saints' Ainslie complies with the Anglican Diocese of Canberra and Goulburn's policies and practices relating to child protection. More information on these policies and practices is available on the Diocese website.
