|All Saints Choir|
The All Saints Choir sings most Sundays at the 9.30am high mass.
A robed choir, it sings psalms, communion settings, motets and leads the congregation in a fine selection of hymns. The repertoire of the choir is varied, ranging from plainsong and Renaissance settings to contemporary motets. The turnover of music is fast so there is never a dull moment. The choir also enjoys an active social life, often meeting for dinner after rehearsals and coffee after services.
The choir rehearses on Thursday evenings from 6.30-7.30pm, and on Sundays at 9am. Though the choir is not formally auditioned, members are expected to have good sight-reading and ensemble skills. Current members come from a variety of musical backgrounds, including past members of the Adelaide Chamber Singers, Gondwana Voices, the National Youth Choir of Australia and the
Choral & Organ Scholarships
The parish offers up to four auditioned choral scholarships of $1500 per annum to university or college students. Scholars provide musical and pastoral leadership in the choir, perform administrative tasks, and take an interest in wider parish life. For further information, please contact the Director of Music.
Once a month between April and September, on the second Sunday, the choir sings the beautiful cathedral-style evening service of choral evensong, usually according to the 1662 Book of Common Prayer.
